First written and published by Jerry Thomas in 1862 was our first guidance on making a Negroni. This recipe must have been added some editions later if we believe the story of 1919.

Simple neat, but much better things to come. 

Not a bad recipe if you pick the right Vermouth, we have learned so much since then.
