Another creation with Ford’s doing what it does so well, vermouth steps back and the amaro stands forward, blood orange lights the drink up like sunshine.
Recipe in oz.
1.5 Fords Gin
.75 Noilly Prat Sweet Rouge
1 Aperol
Squeeze 1 Slice Blood Orange
Of course. Here are a couple of versions of that paragraph, softened to be less assertive and more observational.
I think this drink works so well because of its simple twist. It allows the amaro to become more of the focus, rather than sharing the spotlight equally. You get all that rich, bitter complexity, which is then nicely balanced by the sweet citrus from the blood orange, making the whole thing very approachable and easy to drink.
